We Verified the BIGGEST Scam Against Marketers

Billy Gene is Marketing proved the biggest scam against entrepreneurs today.

Billy hosted a marketing plan contest with 7 college graduates who had amassed over $500,000 in student debt to learn marketing.

But what they didn’t know was that a college graduate, Billy, was competing too…

Hey thanks for running over here, I know we don’t have a lot of time before you skip over this ad, but I want you to come to my office because, honestly, I think you got scammed, and this video proves it.

Scam (n): a dishonest scheme; a fraud.

Recently I hosted a marketing plan competition with these seven graduates. The rules were simple: Create a marketing plan that’s going to bring this guy, Joseph, owner of San Diego Cryotherapy, as many customers as possible, as soon as possible.

There will be one winner. Winner will receive $1,000. There is a business owner here that I have not met yet and you are actually going to be creating a marketing plan for his company right here on the spot.

And they were all smart. 20-year marketing vets, marketing manager of Panera Bread, PR intern at NASA, and one even worked at an agency.

These guys invested almost $500,000 into their education. Student debt.

The only thing they didn’t know was a college dropout was competing, too. Me.

The competition was held at four hours and broken up into three phases.

Phase 1: 30-minute group Q&A with the owner. Ask whatever you want, whenever you want.

Objective: Gather enough data to be able to bring this man some damn customers.

Phase 2: 5 minutes one-on-one with them, ask whatever strategic questions you would like. Give the details to execute your plan.

Finally, Phase 3: The Pitch. There’s a big difference between textbook and putting money on the books.

Next steps is we’re gonna take a 10-minute round robin of you guys presenting your plan to get him the most customers in the shortest amount of time.

[Mike C. | Public University | Student Debt: $9,000]: Step one: We are going to get 20 ambassadors from one school. Minimum of 2,500 connections through Facebook and/or Twitter accounts.
[Billy]: How much do you have to pay them to post?
[Mike C.]: Free. We’re going to motivate them intrinsically.
[Billy]: You’re saying that they’re gonna just be so inspired by his product or service that they’re going to want to post daily about it. Something tells me it may be a little bit challenging to get them to post – as great as it is – about cryo-fucking-therapy every day.

[Yvonne M. | Public University | Student Debt: $12,000]: One of their big events that’s coming up is CLEVER TALKS. I’m working with them on a deal to not charge you anything to be a vendor.
[Billy]: This lacks predictability, but there’s no existence of consistency. After this event is hot fire, and this event is now done, then what? What did they teach you in school about this?
[Yvonne M.]: I mean-
[Billy]: So school didn’t teach you anything about this?
[Yvonne M.] Not really. This is just firsthand completely.

[Steven S. | Private University | Student Debt: $130,000]: Let’s say for every 10 posts they tag your business in, you give them one free session.

[Jonathan R. | Private University | Student Debt: $164,000]: What would I suggest? Well, I would suggest that you would offer a free service. Who are you targeting? People with expendable income.
[Billy]: Where did you learn these strategies you’re teaching us right now?
[Jonathan R.]: Which one?
[Billy]: Email, for example.
[Jonathan R.]: Email would be from Panera.
[Billy]: Panera taught you that?
[Jonathan R.]: Yeah.
[Billy]: What about that 150-grand in debt? They talk about that email marketing at all?
[Jonathan R.]: No.
[Billy]: So this is all Panera?
[Jonathan R.]: Yeah, like real world kind of experience.

[Melad Y. | Private University | Student Debt: $200,00]: Stand outside with like a wheel of fortune board and give out a few things.
[Billy]: So what you want him to do is stand outside of his company with a wheel of fortune board? How do you think the university did for preparing you for this moment right here, in front of a client who has a real budget?
[Melad Y.]: In a very textbook manner, I’d say.
[Joseph | Client]: So not a practical manner?

Wouldn’t you rather turn this campaign on and then get a text message on your phone that says somebody’s scheduled an appointment?

What is the education system teaching us? And then literally almost every single strategy that all of you had, had nothing to do with what you learned in school. It’s just scary to me.

You make us take all these classes, pay for them or you don’t get the degree, you don’t guarantee a job, and most of the material we learned is not applicable. In social media, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, the places where your customers are hanging out, you teach nothing about. That’s a scam.

Scam (v): Swindle. Here’s what they didn’t teach you in school and the results are completely real.

We’ve actually been building a campaign at the same time. So we didn’t know anything about the business either, but we actually wanted to start building it because what we’re going to do right after this is we’re actually going to turn on the advertising campaign. So this whole time that we’re strategizing, trying to put stuff together, we’re going to turn our shit on and we’re going to see how many customers we can bring him within the next 48 hours.

Using Billy’s “G.E.N.E.I.U.S. Process” we created a social media advertising campaign for Joseph while hosting this competition! (less than 4 hours)

Here’s what happened 36 hours later…

[Billy]: What’s up!!
[Joseph]: What’s up, Billy?

Okay so here we are upstairs in the Billy Gene is Marketing headquarters interview room. Joseph is sitting here with us. The reason why I wanted you to come in is because I want everyone watching this to know just how damn real this is.

So literally the very first time we met was actually when he showed up to there so we met all at the same time.

36 hours earlier
[Joseph]: Hey, good to meet you.
[Billy]: What’s up, what’s up, what’s up? Hey motherfuckers, first time meeting in real life right now.

[Billy]: So the campaign that you saw us create – that we created – was completely on the spot. Like we had no- we didn’t have any advantage time over anybody else, we weren’t like studying, it wasn’t anything crazy like that. What’s happened in the last 38 hours?
[Joseph]: We’ve generated over 150 leads. Our phones have been ringing off the hook.
[Billy]: Joseph, is there a way, like he gets a notification whenever there was a lead on his phone- can you show them, is that cool with you?
[Joseph]: Yeah, absolutely.
[Billy]: Let’s put it up to the camera. Like, literally. Right here.
[Joseph]: Right here, we got a list of leads here. And starting yesterday, Wednesday when they launched it, I got my first text at about 4 o’clock and then, as you can see this goes on for hours.
[Billy]: Yeah. You guys, this isn’t scripted, we’re doing this right now. Okay now let’s talk about this because there’s also skeptics out there that are like, “Okay there’s leads there…”- how’s the quality been?
[Joseph]: Just today alone, we’ve already generated over $1,000 in business in just one day.
[Billy]: The point of this video is to say, change the curriculum. If you’d like us to teach you this process, this “Geneius” process, that has brought this man- literally his phone has been off the hook.

If you’re sitting there right now and you’re like, “damn, I don’t know how I’m gonna pay my bills, I don’t know how I’m gonna do this, I don’t know how to grow my business”- and then you just watched us- literally overnight, boom explode legit – that’s still going off and happening again right now, we can’t make this stuff up.

Everyone tells you how great they are at marketing, we’re sitting here demonstrating it to you.
[Joseph]: Absolutely.
[Billy]: And then Joseph, for everybody who’s on the fence about trying one of our courses or learning this, what would you tell them?
[Joseph]: I would tell you that I have offered to pay my digital marketing team to come and take his course.
[Billy]: And I suggest you put down your fucking degree and your $200,000 of debt and you start learning shit that actually matters.

You guys, my name is Billy Gene. You just witnessed a Billy Gene experiment, a Billy Gene blitz, with complete strangers.

Billboard for Podcast Billy Gene Is Marketing Offends The Internet

Are Billboards a scam? I feel like they stole $8,000 from me.

This billboard was a bad investment. Almost as bad an investment as entrepreneurs who pay over $50,000 for a business degree.  I can’t control who sees it, it’s hard to track sales, and it’s only up for 3 weeks. How is that not considered a scam?!  So why did I make such a bad investment? I’ll show you…
